FALLING FOR FALL

Don't get me wrong a Summer in the country is undeniably beautiful, but my favourite time of year for strolling around the land I am lucky enough to live in is Autumn. The rich warm tones of the fallen leaves and fields, the glow that the Fall sun gives to beautiful old stone, the little beams of light shining through the tree canopies in the woods and the crisp chill that means its time to get out my collection of snuggly jumpers and decadent faux furs. It really is my favourite season and over the next few weeks I'll be sharing with you some of my favourite Autumn ready outfits complete with beautiful coats to keep you toasty warm.

This first look has to be one of my all time favourites at the moment as it makes me feel like the luxury bitch I always aim to be! Undoubtedly the star of the outfit is the gorgeous River Island Plus Khaki Lurex Faux Fur Collar Blazer (£55.00*) that has become one of my absolute favourite pieces of AW17. There is nothing I don't love about this jacket - the oversized cocoon shape, the glitzy shimmer woven into the rich olive fabric, the huge fluffy collar (removable by the way) and the three quarter length batwing like sleeves that allow you to show a sweet bit of skin between cuff and gloves or a nice bit of jumper sleeve like I am here.

Naturally the colour of choice to go with the shimmering khaki was a regal berry red and so when I was sent this Topsy Curvy at Lovedrobe Wine Dipped Hem Jumper (£15.00*) I knew it was the perfect partner. Seriously, the colour of this batwing sweater is so dreamy - deep and port like and not at all washed out like some space dye pieces you find. I would say that the fit is on the smaller side and I actually tend to wear it tucked in to skirts and trousers rather than with the dipped hem showing as it's a bit tight on my bottom!

As you can see the item I have tucked into on this occasion is the coveted River Island Plus Grey Check Tapered Leg Trousers (£36.00*) that I am sure you have seen on a bevvy of blogger babes recently as they are part of an amazing suit. To be honest I think I could easily have gone a size down in these bad boys as they have a lovely relaxed fit and one of my favourite details - elasticated panels to the back of the waistband. I just adore the dark check detailed with a beautiful gold buckle and button and the ankle slits are a fab little detail.

I'd love to know what your favourite Autumn outfit is, please do let me know in a comment below!
