GETTING THE CHOP AT RUSH NOTTINGHAM

You may remember my posting about a new branch of Rush Hair opening up in Leicester a month or so ago, well it just so happens that I now also have a new Rush branch in my other local city of Nottingham! Unfortunately I couldn't make the opening of this one, but I was very kindly invited for a cut with one of the team to see what they can do.

I headed over last Saturday morning and met Aaron at the salon for my appointment. The space is nice and bright and not too big, with both an upstairs and downstairs styling space. The wash station is hidden away behind a divider so it's nice and secluded and relaxing, the perfect space for the treat of a head massage when the conditioner goes on!

I've been fretting about my hair for a while now, bored of having a non style and waiting for it to grow out so I decided to go for it and get a bob cut in to get it at more of an even length and hopefully the impression of fullness. Aaron was on board with the plan and set to work, advising me that a very slight angle from back to front would be a graceful touch and stop it looking too severe. He was lovely, really friendly and confident clearly knowing exactly what he was doing - he was a trainer at his last employer so the confidence is well founded, further proved by the amazing job he did on my hair!

Here are a few more shots of the salon, as you can see they use two of my favourite haircare brands Redken and Kerastase which is great because I can stock up on my shampoo and conditioner when I visit in the future! Aaron did such a great job with my bob that I'll definitely be heading back in the future, plus it means I can grab some treats from Nottingham Doughnut Company and a great cup of coffee at 200 Degrees too which are both less than a minutes walk from the salon, hoorah!
