I love the unexpected, that's no secret. Juxtaposition is my jam and my whole aesthetic is basically mixing the classic with the contemporary. I have always identified with Nicolette Mason's love for wearing her favourite leather moto jacket with super feminine dresses and strappy heels and she was definitely the inspiration for this look.
As soon as I saw this stunning Lovedrobe Luxe Embellished Dress* (£95.00) I knew I had to have it. Sure there are a lot of embellished pieces around but this one was just that bit different with its beautiful dove grey, silver and crystal palette and delicate sparkling beading that runs all the way down the skirt making it look almost like a waterfall. The heavy detailing to the neckline, sleeves and the bottom of the skirt also captured my heart as you know I'm a 'go big or go home' type of gal.
As with all Lovedrobe items I sized up by one and the dress was a nice fit, not too tight but not at all baggy. It's a style that suits pretty much all body shapes and would be just perfect for an Autumn/Winter wedding guest or bridesmaid look. I teamed it with some Wide Fit Holographic Sandals* (£9.50 on sale) from Yours Clothing and a multi textured moto jacket that I got from Tesco in the Spring to add that unexpected twist to such a classic almost flapper girl style frock.
