Now guys and girls, this is one of those dresses that just made me feel really really great as soon as I put it on! This is the Manon Baptiste Bow Detail Dress from Navabi (£139.00*) and it is an absolute dream in every way!
First off the colour is just gorgeous and every bit as lovely as it looked online, actually made even better by the great quality of the fabric itself which has a little stretch and is smooth and sturdy. It's also fully lined which makes it super comfortable against your skin and aids the lovely shape of the skirt. Speaking of the skirt - would you just look at those pleats?! The photo below where I'm bending over fussing Betty the new addition to our family (more about her later this week) shows how they go all the way round making it poof out beautifully but more subtly than say a skater dress would. Obviously the massive bow was another big draw as it's too cute for words. To me this is the ideal wedding guest dress, but now I'm thinking about it this would also be a great choice for a bridesmaid outfit!
I ordered a size 26 in this style - I'm usually a 24/26 and as this said it only had a small amount of stretch I went for the bigger end which was the right choice. I feel like this dress was actually made to measure just for me as it was perfect - the arms, waist and bust just the right amount of fitted without making sitting/moving restricted.
As it happens Manon Baptiste pieces are actually made to order so take around 10 days to arrive with you, although this is not to your exact measurements but to the ones stated on the size chart. I think this is a great and really clever way for them to work as it means they can put out really high quality and interesting pieces without having to get a whole load of them made right off the bat so they can see how well each one goes down.
As you can see I was bowled over by this dress and it's highly likely that I'll be getting myself the orange version soon too. What do you think?
