You know, whenever I wear a lovely pin up style dress like this I feel like a million bucks. My style back when I first started my blog and for a good long time throughout my late teens to mid twenties was predominantly vintage style, my wardrobe consisting of wiggle dresses and flared styles that I wore with my huge collectio of cardigans. I still feel super cute whenever I dress this way and my taste is still very much vintage glamour inspired so I was thrilled when Lady Vintage asked if I would like to try one of the new styles from their plus size section Lady Voluptuous!
This is the beautiful Cherries on Black Bolero Sweetheart Dress (£55.00*) which is one of their new styles that comes with a sweet little bolero jacket that matches the print of the dress. I immediately fell in love with the print with it's juicy fat red cherries in a beautiful bold hue that really stands out against the dark background, it's an eye catcher for sure. It's made from a slightly stretchy cotton, it's nice and thick and has a slight sheen and as you can see the print is rich and vibrant.
As this is my first try of a Lady Voluptuous piece I chose a size to the larger side of what usually fits me but next time I will definitely go smaller as it is nice and generous in it's sizing - as you can see I could easily have gone a size down, especially as I don't have a huge bust. Despite this though the dress still looks lovely and a little belt pulled the waist in perfectly. The length is delightful too, hitting just below the knee in true vintage style which also happens to be my favourite length too.
The quality of the dress is lovely, much better than a lot of the cheaper vintage repro styles you see. The style is to die for and I think it's a real bargain seeing as the little bolero comes along with it.
