A couple of times a year us fashion lovers are treated by the style gods to a piece of clothing being released that is so completely our style that we simply have to own it. As most people know my favourite aesthetic takes a classic style and gives it a contemporary twist, much like my 1950's inspired curl set hair dyed a very modern black to silver ombre. The stunning Gold Sequin Bomber Jacket (£119.99*) from the latest Elvi x Prima collection is the perfect example of this - the classic bomber brought bang up to date with sequins, sheer chiffon sleeves and beautiful champagne satin trim and lining. To put it simply, this jacket is completely banging.
The thing to note with sequins is that if they're good quality, they are heavy. This jacket has a lovely weight to it so straight off the bat I knew it was going to be great quality. As you can see from the close up shot below this isn't a flat coloured sequin either, they're toned in lots of shades of pale gold, champagne, mink and silver on a gold and black backing which gives an amazing three dimensional feel. The satin used for the trim and the lining is so silky smooth against your skin and the ruching around the wrists and bottom trim makes it look almost like molten metal.
The fit of this piece is bang on in my opion, I ordered my normal size and it's the perfect amount of oversized without looking like a sack just as a bomber jacket should be. This would be the perfect thing for throwing over a LBD on a night out to add a little extra sparkle, but I just adore it how I'm wearing it here with some jeans and a plain tee. I feel like this is a look you see a lot of smaller women but not so often on plus babes, but I think it works perfectly on bigger bodies too. Without the jacket this isn't an outfit I would consider for a night out but this one super sparkly pieces takes it straight into party mode.
