OK so now we're officially more than halfway through November I'm allowing myself to get fully festive and go Christmas mad. I love being the hostess with the mostest and so Christmas is right up my alley, I can go all domestic goddess and decorate my house, cook fantastic dinners, bake up a kitschy storm and best of all, go all our sparkly with my outfits while I'm doing it!
Very kindly George at Asda have helped me on my way by sending me this gorgeous gold matte Sequin Shift Dress (£25.00*) and it's really helping to get me into the Christmassy swing of things! As with most sequinny pieces of clothing it's such an easy piece to turn into an outfit as you can let it do all the talking and team it with simple accessories. If you don't get cold as easily as me this would look super sexy without leggings but my pins get chilly in no time so I popped on some simple black cropped leggings (also combats the dreaded chub rub) and plain chunky heeled courts. Unfortunately these* are now sold out but these Wide Fit Block Heel Court Shoes (£16.00) would look even better I think!
Naturally I went for some shimmering eyes and a bold lip for extra party points but as I say this doesn't need much dressing up so more natural make up would definitely look great too, especially if you add a few wide gold slides to your hair like I have here. This is a great way of changing your natural straight/wavy/curly hair into a party do when you have zero time, a trick I spotted on the catwalks over the summer and will definitely be carrying through to next year.
