True Blue

I so wish I was going back to the lovely island of Spetses this year, I think this dress would be perfect for strolling around in the sun on a gorgeous Greek beach. I could also imagine Lana Del Rey lounging in a seedy bar in LA wearing this dress, a flower in her long wavy hair and a drink in her hand, a rose amongst the thorns as she so likes to be.

You can't have failed to notice that cobalt blue is one of the key players in the SS15 colour palette and this beautiful maxi takes it into the realms of the romantic and elegant. I love the floaty semi sheer fabric and the sexy split to the leg edged in ruffles, it reminds me of a flamenco dancer's dress. Perfect for Summer celebrations or for being the most glamorous guest at a barbecue party, this isn't one that you could really dress down but teamed with some flat sandals, a floppy brimmed hat and some sunnies and you can tread that line that I tend to live on of being just a tad overdressed for every occasion. As you can see and as is always the case with Scarlett and Jo pieces the design and cut is outstanding and flatters your curves to the max, with a  lovely wide v neck that is just shy of an off the shoulder style and pretty short sleeves that don't restrict your arms. Another knock out design, but this is Scarlett and Jo so you know I'd say that, right?

his is the Blue Print Maxi Dress from Scarlett and Jo, available at Evans for £75.00*
