Dark and Delicate

I don't know why but some Sundays I just fancy dressing up real nice, even if all I have to do is a few chores. Today it wasn't just chores as Pete and I had a lovely afternoon in out in a beer garden with our friends eating nachos and drinking tasty mocktails. It was a hot day but there was a bit of a breeze so I was in need of something to cover up my shoulders that was light and naturally, fabulous looking. I decided to go for this gorgeous floral print longline kimono from Yours Clothing which I had instantly fallen in love with when I helped out with their photoshoot with Hayley Hasselhoff a few months ago.

I have a good little collection of kimonos going on now but I loved the longer length and the fringing detail of this little beauty. I also adored the floral print and the mix of peach and purple tones, so delicate but bold against the black background. At £30 it's a real steal compared with similar styles I've seen online and it's so versatile - I'll also be wearing it on the beach as a nice cover up to help protect my pasty skin from the sun!!!

I wanted to let the kimono take centre stage today and so I went with an all black foundation to the outfit with my trusty black velour skirt and pretty gold studded vest. I picked out the gold in the top with some gold gem studded slipper shoes and midi rings and set the whole thing off with a bold deep red lipstick - it's one of the Kate for Rimmel shades but sadly the label has come off the bottom so I don't know which it is, but I think it's shade 107.
