The Jameela Jamil for Simply Be Ponte Midi Dress

I'm pretty sure Jameela Jamil was somehow reading my mind when she designed this piece as I can't imagine any dress I would describe as more perfectly me! Vintage inspired, pretty with polka dots, sexy with sheer panels that show off my tattoos, elegant in its hourglass enhancing shape and with a hint of gothic glamour it really is everything I adore in one fabulous frock!

This is the Ponte Midi Dress (£60.00) from Jameela's new collection for Simply Be and it was one of those 'bought within thirty seconds of seeing it' purchases. Truth be told I love the whole collection, it's a very glamorous and feminine selection with a few pieces like the cape jacket to add a little more edge and uses my favourite colour palette - mostly black with pops of bold red and beautiful cobalt blue with an ultra fabulous leopard print injection in the form of a striking maxi dress and kimono jacket. The super cute flamenco styling of the frill scuba dress also sent my heart all a flutter and the multi way scuba dress that comes in hot rod red or classic black is the ultimate versatile dress for someone like me who likes to look super glam as often as possible.

Naturally when seeing something online that looks so perfect when it's finally arrived and you're putting it on there's a little trepidation as to whether the final goods will live up to your high expectations and I'm thrilled to say that in this case I love the dress even more on my body than in the pictures online. It's my favourite length hitting my 5'8'' frame mid calf and the bust area and arms were nigh on perfect with no excess bagginess that I am often faced with an I have a relatively small bust to most other plus size women. There's definite stretch in there though for you ladies who are blessed with more chest so don't let that worry you. Both the fabrics used feel lovely with the body being a thick, stretchy polyester mix that usually washes really well and doesn't crease when you're say down and the ponte polka sheer panelling is lovely and soft with stretch and a bit of weight to it so it doesn't feel like you might accidentally tear it when putting it on.

Basically, I love this dress to bits and I think you will too!
