Yep, Autumn feels like it's well and truly upon us and so as usual my mind has turned to favouring a palette of blacks, berry reds and jewel tones. This outfit is one of those wonderful ensembles that keeps you warm and comfortable but still feels chic and has a bit of attitude to it.
I've not worn these Yours Clothing leggings nearly enough, sadly they aren't available any longer but they hold good memories for me as I bought them on my veyr first plus size blogger shopping trip meet up in Doncaster a few years ago now. I just adore the black caviar pattern down the sides and I've not seen anything like it since but the colour is the main thing for me right now so the link above will take you to some of a similar colour just without the pattern!
The tunic/dress that I have on was a purchase I made for our trip to the USA and I thought it would be good for the hot weather which indeed it was, but as it has the nice sheer stripe detailing and super comfy fit it goes well with so many other pieces that I'm still wearing it in chilly old England.
This coat is one of my favourite purchases of the year, a trench style but made of chiffon so it hangs and moves beautifully on your frame. The added waterfall panel to the front is a design feature that I just adore and the waist ties mean you can go loose fitting like this or nip in the waist for a bit more definition. Seriously this has been a godsend and it too came to the USA and saved me from the chill on several occasions!
Finally these boots. I'm not great in heels - I have bad balance as it is and the balls of my feet start to hurt pretty quick when I'm in high ones - but these suede effect ankle boots have a platform that makes them so much easier to walk in. They're actually extremely comfortable and the choice of width fittings means you can wear nice toasty socks with them too when it gets extra chilly!
