Animal Instinct

What an odd weekend eh lovelies? Lots of bright sun but a real chill in the air and crazy winds which seemed to make people crazy in turn. It is odd how the weather affects your mood, the blustery winds seemed to stop me being able to keep my mind on one thing before it was blown away and replaced by another. I managed to keep myself focused long enough to photograph what I wore on Saturday when I went shopping with my dad, it's a bit of a kooky mix but I like it and it was ever so comfy.

The sweater perfectly illustrates what I was talking about in my last post, that sometimes you can find lovely pieces in unexpected stores. I bought this from Monki in London which does not do a plus size line, but I spotted this oversized sweater and knew it would be a perfect fit. This is a size large and it's lovely and warm, plus I just can't resist a candy pink jumper. The fact that it was cropped and snake print just added to its charm and I like the relaxed fit and drop sleeves too.

Now this skirt. Where to start? It's my current favourite clothing item and I'm a bit obsessed with it. I adore the midi length, the fullness and the sheer leopard print band. It has no stretch but I would say fits true to size. I like it more without tights but hey, it was chilly this weekend! It's from Littlewood's / Very's plus size range So Fabulous! which to be honest I haven't had much success with in the past, but I must say their current range is great and there are lots of pieces I'd love to get my hands on including a rainbow sequin pencil skirt!!

As comfort was key this weekend I decided to wear my lilac Visions which went well with my purple make up look that day. To finish off I grabbed my lovely metallic blue Paul's Boutique bag and crystal 'lucky eye' tassle necklace both of which I bought on holiday, plus this crazy gold spine necklace that I picked up for £3 at a bric a brac market. It's four individual pieces cast from something's spine and finished in really shiny gold - weird but I love it! (outfit links below)
