Weekend Treats

Hi loves! Well last week was a very busy one and I still don't think I've recovered, I am so in  need of an early night but I can never make myself do it. If you remember please tweet me tonight and tell me to go to bed early!

My purchases this week are a very mixed lot - clothes, jewellery, beauty, music, art and a magazine. Lets start with clothes and jewellery...

So we all know I'm a fan of lip printed stuff after last week's posts so naturally when this Lip Print Boyfriend Tank popped up when I checked the new in's at Simply Be last week I had to have it, especially as it's only £12! It's available in a nice black and white stripe too and is long with a dipped back, naturally I'll be wearing it tucked into a pencil skirt as is my want but if you're a jeans gal this would look lovely over some skinnies.

Second up is this lovely floral necklace from Roam at New Look - unfortunately I can't find it online but it was £6 and there are matching earrings available too. The white with pale purple gems caught my eye immediately and I was very pleased that it was on a gold chain as I don't really wear silver any more. FOr six quid I thought it was a bit of a bargain and as it isn't too huge I think I'll wear it more often than I would a bigger statement necklace.

Now on to art, I bought this signed and numbered print at the Brody Dalle show I went to in Birmingham on Saturday with my mayun and gorgeous friend Anne. It was an amaaaazing show, I loved Brody since I first heard The Distillers at about age 14 so it was amazing to see her live and back on form again after such a long absence. As I don't often wear band shirts any more I love that you can get screen prints at a lot of shows now and it's my gig souvenir of choice. One day I'll do a little tour of our house and you'll see how many prints we have on the walls, it's going to be a nightmare when we move filling in and painting over all the holes, ach! You can buy the artist proof of this print from Jacknife's online store here.

Not shown in another picture is Martha Stewart Living Magazine which I have bought every month for the last three and a half years. It's a great mix of lifestyle, interior design, craft, food and recipes and beauty and is a really inspiring thing to get every month. I'm lucky enough that my local WH Smith sells it bu you can order it online here. Note - is anyone else annoyed that this year it's coming to the UK at the end of each month so if it features a holiday it's already gone by the time we get it?

This was a little Tesco beauty aisle purchase - why do I walk down there when I know I will always find a polish or lipstick I can't resist?!

I wish I had seen these Maybelline 'Street Artist' top coats earlier as most of the other colours are now sold out, but I do love this one White Splatter. It looks great over pale purple and you only need one coat to get the level of cover I have in the photo above.

Last but not least, a band called The Beaches supported Brody on Saturday night and I bought their EP which they kindly signed for me. They were really amazing live, unfortunately recorded it loses a bit of the raw power and strength behind the lead singer's voice, but it's still pretty good.

Did you buy anything lovely this weekend? Do tell!
