Plus Size Picks - Carmakoma

One thing I will always remember from my trips to Denmark to visit family when I was younger is how stylish and well dresses everyone in Copenhagan seemed. It's such a clean and beautiful city, full of wonderful little boutiques and stores, but what I did notice was that I could not fit into anything I saw for sale. There were no plus sizes in sight in the lovely little shops, so I wondered where the curvy Danish ladies shopped. You can imagine how pleased I was when I found Carmakoma, a Danish plus size brand run by the beautiful Heidie and Angelica. Here I share some of my favourite pieces from Carmakoma.com.

My first picks and my favourites from the current collection are the Flowerbomb jacket and Flowerwood trousers. Finding a suit in plus sizes that doesn't make you look dowdy is a bit of a feat so when I spotted this wonderfully modern design paired with an amazing bright floral print I was blown away! The jacket has a fab asymetrical zip closure like a biker jacket and peplum like peating to the lower back and I adore the relaxed fit and black panels to the trousers. There's also a lovely Flowerspencer dress in the same print.

Next up I just adore the combination of the super feminine Salfords lace top with the sexy edgy Soap skirt.

The Earley coat is so elegant and the subtle tulip shape is so beautiful. The length and style remind me of a 1960's duster coat but the quilted PU sleeves and asymetric zip bring it right up to date.

I'm not really sure when I would wear the Fareham dress as it's a little shorter than I would like for work but a little dressier than I would wear on a night out on the town, but I adore it. Perhaps a relaxed few drinks at a bar or dinner out. But anyway, the monochrome panelling gives a great illusion style that you usually only see on bodycon dresses but I think works really well on this less fitted shape and the exposed zipper is a great detail too.

I have to admit, bodysuits are never something I have found very attractive and I've never wanted to wear one before, but I just can't resist the Ibis bodysuit in polka dot. It's super cute and the lace detailing makes it super sexy. You can also get it in plain black too. You can also get some cute matching polka dot Canley shorts too!

Here are three beautiful dresses that I would be keen to add to my workwear wardrobe. I love the futuristic feel of the Andover dress with it's mesh and PU panels and structures shoulders.

The Glory dress over the Erantis roll neck sweater would be a great Autumn look and the Luton monochrome print shift is ideal for the warmer weather. I think it looks just great with the colour pop from the shoes.
