Plus Size Picks - Boohoo Plus

I can't tell you how long ago I first started wishing that Boohoo.com would release a plus size range, but we're talking a good few years. I was always jealous of my regular size friends being able to head to Boohoo and grab a bargain dress for a work night out when I had to spend well over thirty quid to get something pretty enough for a night on the town. Then I received an email one evening on my way home from work which put a big smile on my face - a press release for Boohoo Plus!

Naturally after excitedly reading the release I headed straight to the website and was thrilled to see the selection available ranging from a size 16 to 24. Dresses, jumpsuits, skirts, tops, jackets - it's a great selection and at great prices and I'm happy to say very on trend with the range of pastel colours available, mesh detailing, sports luxe styles and a cute skater dresses. There is also a good few midi length items which makes me very happy as I much prefer skirts and dresses to fall below the knee. Here are my favourite pieces from the current collection...

The draped top with more figure hugging skirt of the first dress is such a great contrast and I can imagine it working on lots of different figures, add some gold jewellery, a hair decoration and some fancy heels and this would be a great simple and effortlessly chic look for a night out.

Plain jersey midi dresses have been a wardrobe essential for several months now and I love the deep red of this middle dress. The short sleeves are nice too and I feel are much more comfortable under a long sleeved slouchy cardigan or jacket which is what I would pair with it along with lots of long gold necklaces, heeled ankle boots and a fancy up do. At just £12 why not get every colour?

I'm sad I missed out on this mesh panel dress in my size, it's such a simple but eye catching style and again I think could be dressed up for a night out with the right accessories.

Boohoo Plus is really catering for my lilac obsession with these delightful pieces. The sqare neck to the skater dress is fabulous and this quilted jacket would be so versatile for Spring. The quilted look also follows through to the matching t shirt dress or pencil skirt and there's even a jumper in the same style too to help you channel the sports luce trend in a more feminine way.

Don't you think this peter pan collar dress would be super cute for the office teamed with some tights and mid heeled courts? If only I was brave enough to wear dresses this short - perhaps one day! I also just love this white jumpsuit but don't think I could quite pull it off... wouldn't it be just perfect for a holiday in a lovely resort if you wore it with big shades, sandals and a sexy wide brimmed hat? Super glam! Here's another dress encompassing the mesh panel trend too, this time in a shorter style that would be lovely for an evening with friends in the beer garden in the Summer sipping vino as the sun goes down. Can you tell I'm desperate for Summer to arrive?!

What are your favourite pieces from the range? I can't wait for the kimono jacket in the first photo to be released!
