Good Friday Shopping Haul

Long weekends, is there any thing better? So far we even have nice weather here in Loughborough which I'm really appreciative for, I need to get a lot of outfit photos done this weekend which have built up over the last couple of weeks while I've been busy preparing stuff for my lovely sister in law's wedding last weekend.

As I have two extra days to play around this weekend I decided a little shopping trip to Leicester would be a nice Good Friday excursion and my lovely friend Lil and her sister Hannah came along too. It was a lovely day out and we were shopping for waaay longer than we have expected, we were out for like 6 hours which was a little crazy but we did squeeze a quick lunch and an afternoon coffee and cake break in too!

I got some lovely bits and bobs and so thought I'd share them with you, starting with the offensively bright pink cropped short sleeve sweater which I have been waiting to go into the sale at Simply Be! I immediately loved it when I spotted it online but when I saw beautiful Gemma rocking it at the Anna Scholz event in February I knew I must own it too. It's £35 full price which I thought was a little steep for such a little sweater even if it is super adorable, but it was in the sale in the Leicester store today for £17.50 so in my bag it went!

Next up was this lovely delicate geometric cage necklace from New Look. It was £4.99 but unfortunately doesn't appear to be online yet. It's a lovely long length and looked fab with the black and white striped tee that I was wearing on the day. It's a lot more modern a design than most of my jewellery as I tend to go for classic styles or cutesy novelty designs, but I really really love it and I know I'll be adding to a lot of my spring outfits.

Very handily right next door to Simply Be in the Highcross is Paperchase. I had gone in a few weeks ago to see if the mid year diaries were in yet but they'd been delayed so I wasn't really expecting to find them this time either, but low and behold there they were and they had the beautiful metallic rose design which I had been eyeing up online. It's a fair bit bigger than diaries I've had in the past but give lots of room for each day - I've decided I want to be much more organised with blogging from now on so having this extra room should give me the space I need to plan my posts ahead of time using little post it notes. There's a handy pocket in the back too that I can pop notes, magazine cuttings and business cards into which will get lots of use for sure.

The only things I had actually planned on investing in on my trip into town was another pot of my favourite finishing powder and a new eyeliner, but Boots are currently doing a 3 for 2 on make up so I grabbed another tube of my current mascara of preference. I also printed off a coupon for any Seventeen eye shadow half price from the magic advantage card machine so grabbed this lovely pinky bronze shade called Rose Quartz.

On a side note, have Bourjois stopped producing Liner Pinceau in black? The lady in store scared me by saying she thinks it's been discontinued and that's my go to liner! Ach!

Last but not least, I cannot walk past a Hotel Chocolat withough buying some selectors. I treated myself to my favourite Pistachio Praline Crunches, grabbed some Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate Almonds for Pete and a packet of Pecan Pralines for us to share. They're £3.85 a packet but if you buy three or more the price drops to £3.25 a packet, so naturally that justifies in my mind that I have to get three rather then two... damn you brain!

What a lovely day out it was - have you got any plans for the long weekend?
