Luxurious Lace - An Outfit Post & Review

Hello darlings! Oh I have something special to show you today! I was contacted recently by the lovely Janine on behalf of Navabi, a truly amazing online store selling designer fashions in sizes 14 to 30. I found Navabi about a year ago and immediately fell in love with SO many beautiful pieces. I sent it straight over to my mother in law too who also fell head over heels. I seriously recommend that you go and take a look if you aren't already aware of them because I'm sure that there is at least one item on there that you will think is fabulous!

Now as you can imagine I was very excited to be contacted by this lovely company and even more so as they asked if I would like to review a piece from thier party collection! It was a very hard decision to make as to which piece I would like to review as the whole range is so beautiful, but I decided to go with the piece that had first caught my eye - the Feminine Lace Dress by Kiyonna.

I am so pleased that I did pick this gorgeous dress as it feels like it was made for me! It's glamorous, dramatic and sexy and features pretty scalloped edging which is one of my favourite things ever.

It fits like an absolute dream - I went for a size 24 to accomodate for my big hips and it was just perfect, flattering to my tummy but nicely fitted to the bust and arms. It is made of entirely elasticated fabric, including the lace, so it is oh so comfortable and shapes itself to your contours giving a super sexy silhouette which is enhanced by the band at the waist.

The main body of the dress is a lovely thick nude coloured jersey which is lovely and soft, with an overlay of stunning lace which again is thick and luxurious feeling and just oozes glamour. I really like that the sleeves are left sheer too, it's a very nice touch.

Speaking of the sleeves, they're 3/4 length which is another thing that I look for as I find them the most comfortable (and it shows off my tattoos). The length is also bang on the mark on me sitting just below the knee, so I can happily sit down and walk up stairs without feeling self conscious that the skirt might be riding up too high and showing off things which I would rather keep covered!

I thought I'd take a few closer snap shots of the lace to show you how beautiful it is and also to show you better how wonderfully it fits to your curves.

I have a relatively small bust but the stretch to the fabric would easily allow someone with a much bigger cup size to rock this style too and feel comfortable and not too exposed! You can see from this next picture how thick the lace is - no need to worry about it tearing easily like with cheaper laces.

I truly think this is one of the most beautiful, elegantly executed and expertly fitted dresses for plus size ladies that I have ever seen. I will most definitely be keeping my eye on the Navabi website for more Kiyonna pieces and they'll be my first point of call should I need a special occasion dress in the future. You can find this dress here on the Navabi website and check our the rest of their party collection here.

And here's a silly pic to end with...
