Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel - Product Review

Hi lovelies! While I was out shopping with my lil sis a few weeks ago we popped into Lush and I grabbed a bottle of their Snow Fairy shower gel that I've heard so much about. It's a little pricey like most Lush products, although you can kinda see why as everything is hand made and from natural ingredients - I bought the 250g bottle which was £6.85 but you can also get a 100g for £3.50 or a 500g for £10.95.

One thing I really like about Snow Fairy is that it has a lovely blue iridescent shimmer in with it's candy pin body which you can just about see in the photo above. This doesn't seem to stick to you - I've not noticed myself be any more glittery when I've stepped out of the short - but it's a lovely touch.

I knew that I'd love the scent before I'd even smelled it as it was described as candy floss and pear drops and I love anything with a sickly sweet candy scent and it didn't disappoint - the scent is so great that even after I've used it in the shower the whole upstairs of my house smells like sweeties which naturally I LOVE!

I have to be honest, although I adore the smell, this isn't on my list of the best shower gels ever. I don't know if I had a bad batch but it just didn't lather up enough for my liking and I didn't feel that moisturised by it, but I have noticed that the little red bumps I occasionally get at the tops of my arms have calmed down a fair bit since I started using it which I imagine will be because it's all natural so there are no chemicals to aggrevate my skin.

All in all it is a lovely product for Christmas and would be a great stocking filler, but I think I would prefer it if it was made into a perfume or a shimmery body spray, or even better a body moisturiser! You can pick it up in your local Lush store or online here while it lasts - it is limited edition after all!

  1. I believe that avoiding packaged foods may be the first step to lose weight. They will taste great, but packaged foods currently have very little vitamins and minerals, making you eat more simply to have enough vitality to get through the day. For anyone who is constantly feeding on these foods, switching to whole grain products and other complex carbohydrates will help you have more vitality while eating less.
