Lush Summer 2015 New Products Haul

I've said it before, I'm a real late comer to the Lush party as it's only this year that I've really got into their products but boy have I fallen hard for so many of them! Naturally with my new found love I was overjoyed when my local Lush store in Leicester invited me along to their sneak preview evening to check out all the brand new products for Summer! A little more about the event itself later, first up lets take a look at the new treats that I've been trying over the last week...

Pink Flamingo Bubble Bar - £5.95 Now I'm a big fan of super sweet and fruity fragrances and of delicious tropical cocktails and so it was inevitable that I would gravitate straight to this kitsch-tastic neon pink beauty! I have to admit I was a little put off at first by the price tag, but only until I realised that this is a reusable bar - the lovely ladies in the shop said they've got at least three baths out of this baby! The first time I used it I was so impressed with how quickly my tub was filled with delicate pink water and was thick with rich shiny bubbles, it only took about 20 seconds of swirling the bar under the tap and around the water and it was ready to go! The scent of course is gorgeous with oils of ylang ylang, bergamot and rosewood taking you off to a land of tiki bars and fun in the sun! It really is a delight and to make it even better my skin was so lovely and soft when I got out, no doubt thanks to the macadamia oil and both cocoa and shea butters.

The Comforter Shower Cream - £4.75-£27.50 One of their best selling bubble bars turned into a show cream all pink, sparkly and scented like a blackcurrant fruit pastille - what isn't to love? That same beloved fragrance, sweet and comforting as candy can now be a friend in the shower not just the bath! It smells like the now discontinued Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly but is so much easier to use. I really adore how it lathers up beautifully and leaves my skin squeaky clean and silky and scented oh so beautifully!

Magical Moringa Moisturiser and Primer - £28.00 Wow is all I can say about this gorgeous moisturising balm. My skin has genuinely never felt as amazingly soft and supple than after using this truly magical balm. A mix of 'the world's most renowned beauty oils' - rose hip oil from South America, argan oil from Morocco and moringa oil from Ghana along with sandalwood, ylang ylang, rosewood and Madagascan vetiver oils to be exact - mixed with Ghanaian shea butter from the Ojoba Women's Shea Co-operative and fair trade organic cocoa butter this really is a moisturiser to be reckoned with.

The soft balm turns to a beautiful silky oil with the heat of your hands and massages beautifully into your skin leaving a mattified finish that also acts like a primer to extend the length of your foundation. I have very oily skin and usually use the L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer to keep this in check and I must say this magical balm halted my shininess for nearly as long while also moisturising my skin like a dream, not a combination that you see together very often I can tell you!

I know the price is high on this one but I think from the list of ingredients above you can see why and a little goes a really long was as it melts into a rich oil. I can genuinely say that this stuff is worth the price if you want an incredible luxurious moisture boost for your skin and to be fair the price really isn't that bad when you compare it to most beauty oils.

Yoga Bomb Bath Bomb - £3.95 This lovely gift from the Lush Leicester team wasn't something I think I'd usually pick out myself but I was presently surprised by the calming woody scent. The relaxing aroma is brought to you by a mix of olibanum, ho wood and sandalwood oil which reminds me of the Moroccan steam room at my local spa. I think this bomb dissolves more slowly than others I've tried which is nice and the show it gives you is quite beautiful and hypnotic with the peachy orange foaming into a rainbow of pink, purple, blue and green.

Love and Light Hand Cream - £7.95 to £13.95 This zesty hand cream is a wonderful treat for dry hands. I have such sensitive skin on my hands it's crazy - one was with the wrong handwash can leave me itchy and dry feeling and you only have to wave a sheet of paper over my skin for me to get a paper cut (maybe a slight exaggeration...) so this cocoa butter and jojoba oil filled cream is a real treat. Scented with Brazilian orange and orange blossom oils it's a really lively smell, but in truth not one I love on myself. To me it smells a lot like the citrussy water that my dad used to use after he'd shaved and so it seems like a masculine fragrance, but I think that may just be because of my childhood memories and any fan of zesty fragrances would think this stuff is fab.

I had a little demo of the new Cup O' Coffee Exfoliating Mask (£6.50 to £12.00) at the preview event and I really loved it. I've heard people talking about a coffee body scrub for a while now so I was really pleased to see that Lush have taken the idea and turned it into an exfoliating face mask. I'm a huge coffee fan so I like the smell but I can see that it might take some folks a while to get used to if they aren't java crazy like me. It did leave my skin feeling super smooth and soft and I'd love to give it a proper go at home some time as my face has a real love hate relationship with face masks.

So, have you tried any of the new Lush products yet or will you be trying any of these?
