When you have coloured hair, especially bleached hair, you need to take extra care of it and make sure you're using the right products for styling so you don't damage your locks even more. Here are a few of my current favourites...
Color Wow Raise The Root (£16.50) is a great little product that I use every time I blow dry my hair. Unfortunately bleaching has left my hair finer than it was so sometimes getting volume can be an issue, but if I spritz this into my roots and comb it through before blow drying it really does add lots of volume and give my hair a thicker appearance. It doesn't leave your hair feeling crispy like a mousse can and the lift really lasts. I couldn't live without this stuff now!
Redken Smooth Lock (£15.45 - used to be called Smooth Down) is a gorgeous oil that I smooth onto the ends of my hair before blow drying. It not only smooths and helps prevent frizz but it's also a heat protector and nourishes my dry hair at the same time. I've tried quite a few oils now and this is one of my all time favourites, plus it's great value at only fifteen quid for a generous 150ml bottle!
Schwarzkopf got2b Rise n Shine Hairspray (£4.19) is my favourite at the moment. It has a great smell compared to most others and it keeps my styles locked in without being too sticky and going clumpy. The fine mist is great and means you can really control how much you're using. When I curl my hair I spritz a little of this on to each curl as soon as I've taking the curling iron away and let it cool and this stuff helps it stay put for hours!
